So the inside restaurant could use a little work.... outside looked amazing. (It was raining, so we sat inside.) I will say the food is awesome! 🥂Great menu, great service. A large menu, good selection. Overall, I can see this place being one of my favorite places in Nelson
Great food and friendly service. Could use some art/photos on the walls - lol I had the blue cheese burger and fries. It was on-point! Fries are awesome. The burger was the right size; not too big or too small. Staff are friendly and cheerful. I’ll be back to try the Greek food!
The food was really good. I enjoyed the Mushroom Deluxe Burger, mushrooms were really large which was a first but they tasted great and it was easy to eat the ones that fell out. The Diner salad was good but so were the fries. Definitely get patio seating which was nice as the inside was a bit musty smelling. The bathrooms were very clean and spacious.
Absolutely delicious food. Greek theme to the dishes and absolutely worth it. Fresh and you can taste the care put into everything. Ate too fast to have taken pics.
How do I give this place more stars 🌟 The food was out of this world. We ordered cheeseburger and the burger had so much flavor! I ordered fries and she had salad. The 🥗 salad was so great! I want to try more things here! If you happen to stop in when the 7ft tall movie star guy is working he is the best!
Wow! *THE* best fish and chips ever, made with fresh, house filleted halibut. And the apple pie is scrumptious, with a crisp, flaky crust that's almost impossible to find outside of your own (or grandma's) kitchen 😋
The food was excellent. You could tell the chef is a pro — even the simple things like the cabbage salad were done really well. The lamb burger was one of the best I’ve had, full of flavor and cooked just right. Staff were always around, helpful and polite without being too much. Definitely recommend it. This place knows what it’s doing.
This is by no doubt the best place to eat when in Nelson. The staff is Amazing and the food is so delicious. After eating dinner we had to find out who was the chef only to discover he is also the owner of the restaurant. The menu is diverse and we wish we were staying longer to try a few more things. The taste of the dishes are all unique. We have eaten at many restaurants and we can clearly taste this is not just the regular.
After a long trip from overseas, I had my first proper meal in Canada here. I had a slight craving for Greek food and so ordered the lamb burger, which was close enough. Other times I have had lamb burgers or the like, they tended to be dry. The burger here, though, was perfect. Juicy and delicious with a nice dollop of tzatziki. My companion's fish and chips also looked fantastic. The food was simple and nicely done - and the server was very friendly. A great meal for a tired traveler.
We popped into Main Street Diner on a recommendation, and wow -- it was by far one of the best diners we've ever eaten at. They have an incredible Greek-inspired menu, and everything we tried was outstanding. I ordered the Santorini Shawarma Stack featuring a shawarma-spiced lamb burger with sweet pickled onions, the diner's tabouli, Greek yogurt tzatziki, house-made hummus, dill pickles, crisp leaf lettuce, and a sweet & savoury Middle Eastern chutney on a locally baked bun -- paired with the Greek salad. Absolutely phenomenal. My mom had the fish sandwich with a side of buffalo fries, and we also shared the buffalo chicken fries -- everything was really, really good. Huge shoutout to Lawrence, our waiter, and Eryn, our server -- both were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. Eryn never stopped checking on us, kept our waters filled, and had the best smile. Lawrence even made us a hot chocolate with whipped cream, which was hands down the best hot chocolate in town. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and this is one of the best places to stop in while visiting Nelson. Noon to 12:30 is a perfect time to go -- it does get busy during the lunch rush, but it is 100% worth the wait. There are lots of great menu options, and we will definitely be back. One of my favorite spots in Nelson!
